This hardwood is considered the finest quality decking material available today. Often called an “ironwood” for its resistant to bending, decay and insects, it is generally a deep, rich brown with some displays of red and amber. Ipe is so hard it will not require finishing.
A lightweight wood that is well suited for decks and stairs. It is naturally decay-resistant, light in weight, easy to work with and compliments any architectural style.
An old-growth wood that offers outstanding beauty, longevity and ease of maintenance. Redwood decking comes in six grades, from Deck Heart, displaying no knots, to Merchantable Heart displaying multiple knots.
This is a pressure-treated wood that has unprecedented structural superiority. Pressure treatment protection penetrates deep into the heart of the wood so it offers long-term resistance to decay and termites.
Guaranteed for 50 years, each piece of UltraWood undergoes a special process that permeates the wood with a weather guard water repellent and long-lasting preservative. Thus the product never needs to be sealed from the elements.
One of the new breed of composite decking materials, Trex is a combination of cedar fiber and recycled material with a wood appearance. Along with other composite decking such as TimberTech and WeatherBest, this material is rot- and termite-proof and is very low maintenance.
Originally developed for marine docks, these materials offer slip resistance and a choice of colors. Both have become very popular for residential decking because of its slip resistance, minimal maintenance and choice of colors.
